Joan is a native of Los Angeles,
California. She has a B.A. from the University of
California at Berkeley and an M.S. from the University
of Southern California. She served as a Peace Corps
Volunteer in rural Panama. Joan lived in Israel
and Italy for 12 years, working as a journalist
for both The Jerusalem Post and The Los Angeles
Times. She returned to the United States and successfully
ran several businesses in the fields of aviation
and entertainment. A Malibu resident, she convinced
Dr. Marshak that the famous seaside community --
known for its temperate weather, clean air, spectacular
vistas, and healthy life style -- was the perfect
location for his first American clinic. She is very
excited about introducing to Americans the proven
and effective methods developed by Dr. Marshak in
Russia.
