second weekend after admission.
12-Step Meetings:
12-Step meetings, panels, or step studies are held daily
at the Clinic. Patients attend an outside 12-Step meeting
in the community twice a week. Our extended care plan includes
the recovery concept of “ninety meetings in ninety
days.”

If you or a loved one needs
help in achieving or maintaining long term sobriety, we
are here to help your recovery. Our supportive admissions
staff is available 24/7 to answer your questions, and gently
guide you through every step of the admissions process.
Those arriving by air will
be met at the airport by a Marshak Clinic staff member.
Transportation to the airport will be provided at the time
of successful completion of the program. Clients in the
Los Angeles area can be picked up from their home. Additional
transportation is provided for off-campus appointments/meetings:
e.g. doctor or dentist appointments,12-Step meetings, church
and community outings. There is no extra charge for this
service.
Perched high on a hill overlooking
the Pacific Ocean, where the air is pure and there is always
a clear view of the southern skies, the Marshak Clinic offers
an ideal and discreet setting for recovery. Our clients
come to us in pain and despair, and after completing the
28-day program they emerge physically fit and emotionally
healthier, upbeat and positive about the future.
The house setting is intimate,
luxurious, and exclusive; and the atmosphere warm and welcoming.
There are three client bedrooms with two beds in each, and
the six clients share 6,500 square feet. The home is furnished
with antiques and contemporary art, the floors are made
from exotic woods, marble and hued travertine. There are
sweeping verandas, several fireplaces, an open-space chef's
kitchen and dining room, formal living room, three informal
family rooms and a pool room with steam shower.
The grounds are spacious (just
under two acres) and the grounds elegantly manicured. During
their stay at the Marshak Clinic, each client will be assigned
one of three uniquely decorated and furnished bedrooms,
each with private bath. Clients at the Marshak Clinic are
surrounded by a warm family environment, and treated daily
to gourmet meals and snacks which are prepared by a staff
of three professionally trained chefs in accordance with
the Marshak Recovery Diet. Meals are not only nutritious,
but varied and artistically presented. Every Sunday there
is a cooking class taught by a Cordon-Bleu trained chef.
The Marshak Clinic is fully equipped to accommodate dietary
concerns and makes special efforts to accommodate other
requests when possible.
The Marshak Clinic is a comprehensive,
efficient, and challenging program. The sweeping canyon
and ocean vistas are healing, canyon and beach hikes invigorating.
In the evenings we provide our clients the opportunity to
unwind in front of our large screen TV and watch movies
from our DVD library.
The serenely beautiful location of the Malibu Clinic is
the perfect setting for the holistic and comprehensive Marshak
MethodTM for recovery, and is the perfect way for our clients
to begin the journey to back to health and well-being.
The Marshak Clinic Program
shall first obtain the written consent of the undersigned,
and his/her written authorization to release information,
other than basic information concerning the client, except
in those circumstances when the Marshak Clinic Program is
permitted or required by law to release information. The
undersigned agrees that, to the extent necessary to determine
liability for payment and to obtain reimbursement, the Marshak
Clinic Program may disclose portions of the client's records,
including his/her medical records to any person or entity
which is or may be liable for all or any portion of the
Marshak Clinic Program charges including, but not limited
to, insurance companies, health care service plans, employer
or worker's compensation carriers
