Program Description:

Residential Primary Drug and Alcohol Treatment Program including detoxification and extended care, based on the Marshak Method™: a comprehensive and trademarked (patent pending), treatment methodology developed by Dr. Yakov Marshak, MD, Ph.D., in Moscow, Russia.

License:

Licensed and Certified by the State of California Department of Alcohol and Drug Programs.

Location:

Malibu, California. The Clinic is located in a serene, private, and secluded setting.

Philosophy:
To be a Center of Excellence for the treatment of alcohol and drug abuse, integrating evidence-based neuroscientific methods and psychotherapy with the 12-Steps. We are also committed to preventing relapse in the first two years of recovery through further scientific research and outcome studies. The Marshak MethodTM provides clients with Brain BuildingTM and Mind ReconstructionTM the physiological and psycho-spiritual understanding and tools for restoring a healthy reward systems and promote a renewed sense of joy and well-being.

Daily Program: 7:00 A.M. - 11:00 P.M.

Genetic Testing:

Confidential genetic testing identifies variations in a number of genes which can predict the predisposition to addictive disorders and the features of reward deficiency syndrome. All components of our program are individually tailored for each client based on the results of these tests.

The Family Program:

Two and one-half day family program for clients and their family members, held on the second weekend after admission.
12-Step Meetings:
12-Step meetings, panels, or step studies are held daily at the Clinic. Patients attend an outside 12-Step meeting in the community twice a week. Our extended care plan includes the recovery concept of “ninety meetings in ninety days.”

Other Services:

Massage and esthetician services available for an additional charge.

Admissions:

If you or a loved one needs help in achieving or maintaining long term sobriety, we are here to help your recovery. Our supportive admissions staff is available 24/7 to answer your questions, and gently guide you through every step of the admissions process.

Transportation:

Those arriving by air will be met at the airport by a Marshak Clinic staff member. Transportation to the airport will be provided at the time of successful completion of the program. Clients in the Los Angeles area can be picked up from their home. Additional transportation is provided for off-campus appointments/meetings: e.g. doctor or dentist appointments,12-Step meetings, church and community outings. There is no extra charge for this service.
