Myra Estes, Counselor

Myra has been working in the recovery field as a counselor since 1994. She loves her work because she knows that she is helping others on their path to recovery and health. A recovering addict herself, Myra is extremely grateful and appreciative for all the direction and care her counselor gave her almost 16 years ago. She is currently attending college and working on her CAADE certification. Myra is also a current member of the 12-step fellowship NA, and busily involved in Hospital & Institution panels. As a member of the Marshak team Myra supports our clients in their recovery by helping them do their 12-Step work, facilitating 12-step relapse prevention groups, as well as assisting with everyday activities in accord with the Marshak MethodTM. Myra is trained in the Marshak MethodTM and loves to incorporate it in her own life because she feels that it has made her feel better and helps her to maintain a state of serenity and well-being. "I really enjoy my work and do not view it as work, but rather training to continue to better myself, as well as help teach and model effective recovery tools for our clients."
