Sergio was born and raised in Brazil.
After a career in the film and television industry,
he dedicated himself to his true love – cooking
– and graduated from culinary arts school.
Before coming to the United States, he served as
chef at several restaurants in Rio de Janeiro and
his native Recife, including one that he co-owned.
In Los Angeles he runs a successful catering business
and for two years prepared restaurant-quality cuisine
at Sanctuary, a luxurious Malibu sober living house.
For the Marshak Clinic he is known for his inspired,
elegantly presented recipes, each based on the dietary
principles Dr. Marshak developed over the years
to help clients attain and maintain sobriety.
